Joyce Meyer says we can call things into existence and command angels just like God can.
She cites Romans 4:17 as proof we can call things into existence.
in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist.
Yes God can call things into existence with his words. We are not God. God’s words have creative power, our words do not. Sure we can say mean things and make people feel sad, and we can say nice things and make people feel happy. That’s much different than speaking something into existence. Things are not going to come into existence just because we speak forth some bible verses.
Joyce cites Psalm 103:20 as proof we can command angels like God commands angels.
Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
She says that since angels hearken to his word, they have to do things if we command them using words found in the Bible. That’s a major stretch. This verse isn’t saying the angels hearken to things humans say when quoting scripture. It’s saying when God himself tells angels what to do, they do it.
